If you’re tracking your field crew’s time using QuickBooks Time (TSheets), you can easily sync those approved entries into Ressio for accurate job costing and reporting.
This article walks you through how to move time data from QuickBooks Time → QuickBooks Online → Ressio — the recommended workflow for builders using QuickBooks Time today.

1. Saving Time Entries in QuickBooks Time

Start by saving your time entry in QuickBooks Time.


2. Approving Shifts in QuickBooks Time

Next, navigate to your Time Entries and approvals in QuickBooks Time and approve the desired shifts.




3. Exporting Approved Time to QuickBooks Online

Once the shifts are approved, export the approved time into QuickBooks Online. This will transfer the data from QuickBooks Time to QuickBooks Online.


4. Viewing Time Entries in QuickBooks Online

In QuickBooks Online, you will find all your time entries under the 'Time activity' section of the respective project.

These entries will reflect all your previous shifts over the specific time period and the associated billable rates.



5. Syncing Expenses in Ressio

Finally, switch back to Ressio and select 'Sync expenses'.

This action will import all the QuickBooks Online time activities into Ressio, where they will appear in the 'Actuals' column of your project's Budget with a status of 'imported'.

🚨 Remember, the recommended path for users using QuickBooks Time is to go from QuickBooks Time ➡️ QuickBooks Online and finally ➡️ Ressio. While Ressio can import time entries from QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Online cannot push time entries into QuickBooks Time.
