Creating & Managing Company Holidays

Add company holidays that automatically display in project schedules and calendars


Company Holidays allow you to block out non-working days across your projects in Ressio. Once holidays are added at the company level, they will display on project schedules and calendars so your team can plan timelines more accurately.

How to Add Company Holidays

Access the holiday settings from the company settings. Find the 🌴 Holidays tab in the left navigation menu, below Reminders.

🌴 Holidays are managed at the company level.

  1. Go to Company Settings

  2. Select Holidays 🌴

  3. Click New holiday

    4.  Enter a Holiday Name, Start Date and End Date.

     5.  Activate the holiday by clicking the ✅.

     6.  To edit or  delete a holiday, click on the edit button (pencil emoji)on the right hand.

You can add multiple holidays for the year. Holidays set here determine non-working days reflected across all project calendars and schedules.

🚨 Changes on the company level DO NOT automatically get applied to existing projects. Changes to existing projects must be manually synced. New projects automatically receive the existing company configuration at time of creation.



How Holidays Appear in Projects

New Projects

Holidays are automatically added to the schedule and calendar.

Schedule View:

The holiday added will appear blocked-off in gray.

Calendar View:

The holiday will appear in orange and days will be blocked-off in gray.

Resources Page:

Once created, company holidays can also be viewed on the Resources page.




Existing Projects

To sync holidays into an existing project:

  1. Open the project

  2. Go to Schedule

  3. Click the Holiday icon 🌴 at the top right of the page next to the print button.

  4. Select Sync

💡If you do not see a company holiday you created, hitting the 'Sync' button on a specific project will refresh the project and show all newly created company holidays.



Permissions & Visibility

Company Owner / Admin:

Admin can access and navigate to Company Settings → Holidays. They also can:

  • Create, edit, and manage company holidays
  • Sync holidays into project schedules
  • View holidays across all project schedules and calendars

Team Members & Field Users

Team members and field users do not have explicit access to navigate to the holidays tab. They can view the holidays in the schedule gantt and calendar pages as well as have view only access to the project holidays.

Homeowners
  • Can view project holidays if the Schedule Gantt is shared with them

  • Holidays display inside the Gantt view in the Client Portal

Vendors

  • Can view project holidays if the Schedule Gantt is shared with them

  • Holidays display inside the Gantt view in the Vendor Portal
