Email preferences overview (Admin)
Choose exactly which Ressio emails you receive, so you can reduce inbox noise without missing important updates.
If your inbox feels noisy, you can choose which Ressio emails you receive. Email preferences are personal and apply across all your projects.
🎗️ Turning a category off for yourself does not stop emails to clients or team members.
How to update your email preferences:
1. Click your profile icon in the bottom right hand corner.

3. Toggle each email type on or off:
- Messages - Conversations between customers, vendors and contractors.
- Approvals - Proposals, change orders, purchase orders, bids, invoices, and selections
- Daily logs - Daily summaries about project progress
- Schedule - Updates about task assingments
- To-dos - Updates about to-do assignments and completions
- Warranty claims - Updates about warrant claim assignments and status changes
- Bills - Updates about bills
- Leads - Leads captures through web form submissions
- Payments - Updates about invoice payments status and processing
4. Your settings apply globally across projects.
✨Quick guide: which settings should I choose?
• I only want urgent updates: Keep Messages and Approvals on; turn off lower-priority categories.
• I prefer one daily summary: Keep Daily logs on; turn off real-time categories you don’t need.
• I only handle financial items: Keep Bills on; turn off unrelated categories.
🆘 Troubleshooting
• Still receiving emails after turning a type off? These settings only affect your own inbox and may take a few minutes to update.
• Not receiving expected emails? Check spam/promotions and confirm your account email is correct.
• Need team-wide control? Ask an admin about account- or project-level notification settings (if enabled in your workspace).
🎗️ The email preferences are personal preferences that are set "globally" across all projects, meaning
- They DO NOT prevent these types of emails from getting sent to clients or other team members
- They are configured for all projects
⚠️ At least one channel (email or SMS) must be enabled to receive important updates.
