Vendors receive an **email** with your message and a link. - They can **reply directly via email,** or - Click the link in the email to **open the vendor portal**. (No login is required—access is provided via smart email links.) ![Vendor reply](https://43531900.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hub/43531900/hubfs/Vendor%20reply.png?width=550&height=548&name=Vendor%20reply.png) --- #### **Vendor Portal** While replying via email is quickest, accessing the Vendor Portal provides the following benefits: 💡 **Additional Context:** Vendors can view extra details such as descriptions, item details, and attached files. ✅ **Actions:** They can confirm schedule tasks 📅, approve purchase orders 📝, and submit quotes via bids 💬. **No Login Required:** All message links include one-time access to Ressio. #### Message Hub The Message Hub provides a centralized view of all communication. Vendors can select the **Message icon** at the bottom of their app to access. ![Message hub](https://43531900.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hub/43531900/hubfs/Message%20hub.png?width=450&height=540&name=Message%20hub.png) **💡Tip**: Vendors can search, filter by message type, and reply directly from the Message Hub.**💡** --- [\[back-to-top\]](https://help.ressiosoftware.com/how-to-message-vendors#back-to-top) ### Alternative Ways to Share Information with Vendors #### File Sharing Files can be shared with Vendors by controlling their **[File Visibility](https://help.ressiosoftware.com/files-overview?hsLang=en#visibility)** **💡TIP:** We recommend sending vendors files via Messages for more direct access.💡 📂 File visibility is automatically set to **Vendor.** 📧 Vendors receive the file via email—**no need to search.** --- #### **Direct Invite** Vendors can be invited to a project from the **Project Details → Vendors** page—even if they’re not yet assigned to a specific item.
