Lead capture overview

The Lead capture form feature in Ressio makes it easy to integrate a custom form into your website to capture client inquiries directly into your Ressio account. This guide walks you through the setup process.

Step 1: Access & configure the lead form settings

  • Navigate to Company settings & click on the Lead form page - This will take you to the configuration page where you can customize your lead capture form.

Step 2: Add Your Website Domain

  • In the Site domain field, add the domain of your website (e.g., https://www.essiosoftware.com) and click Update

Note: Don’t worry about extra details in the URL; Resio automatically trims them.

Step 3: Preview and Configure the Form

  • On the right-hand side, you’ll see a Preview of the form

Note: The submit button in the preview doesn’t submit actual data but allows you to test form validations (e.g., required fields like email).

Step 4: Embed the Form on Your Website

  • Copy the provided HTML code from the configuration page to your clipboard using the Copy button

  • Access your website’s HTML editor or website builder. If you’re using a CMS (Content Management System), navigate to the section where you can edit the HTML

  • Paste the copied code into the desired location on your webpage

  • Deploy or publish your website changes. The form will now appear on your website.

Step 5: Test the Form on Your Website

  • Once deployed, visit your website and locate the lead capture form

  • Fill out the form and ensure all validations work as expected

  • Submit a test entry to confirm functionality

What Happens After Submission

  • Each submission creates a new project in the Prospects tab of the All projects page

    • The project will get created in the format of "<first name> <last name> - prospect"

    • Details like email, phone number, and project description entered in the form will populate automatically into the project details
