You can use the lead form settings to:  - Add your website domain - Choose which fields appear on your lead form - Mark fields as required or optional - Preview the form before adding it to your website - Copy the embed code for your website - Test that new leads are coming into Ressio correctly This guide walks you through how to configure, embed, and test your lead capture form. --- #### Table of Contents 1. In the **Site Domian** field, enter your website domain. 1. Example:`https://www.ressiosoftware.com` 2. For example, if you enter a longer page URL, Ressio will clean it up and save the correct website domain.   ⚠️ **Using Wix to host your website?** If your website is built and hosted on Wix, you'll need to add a second domain in addition to your main website URL: **`filesusr.com`**. Wix serves embedded content from this domain behind the scenes, so without it added to your Site Domain settings, your form may fail to load or submit correctly on a Wix site. To add it: enter `filesusr.com` in the Site Domain field the same way you entered your main website URL, then click Update. You can add multiple domains, so there's no need to remove your primary domain first. [\[back-to-top\]](https://help.ressiosoftware.com/lead-capture#back-to-top) --- #### **Step 3: Configure Your Lead Form Fields** Use the lead form configuration options to decide what information you want to collect from potential customers.   Depending on the available fields in your account, you may be able to configure details such as: - First name - Last name - Email - Phone number - Project description - Address - Budget estimate low - Budget estimate high For each available field, review the configuration options. **Show or hide fields** Choose whether a field should appear on your public lead form. For example, if you want to collect a project address, make sure the address field is visible. If you do not need budget information yet, you can leave that field hidden.   **Mark fields as required or optional**   A **required** field must be completed before someone can submit the form.   An **optional** field can be left blank.   Use required fields carefully. If too many fields are required, some visitors may not finish the form. It is used to test form layout and required-field validation. On the Lead Form settings page, find the provided HTML code at the bottom of the page.  2. Click **Copy**.  3. Open your website editor or website builder. 4. Go to the page where you want the lead form to appear. 5. Paste the copied code into the correct location on the page. 6. Open the live website page where the form was added. 2. Fill out the form as if you were a potential customer. 3. Make sure all required field work as expected. 4. Submit a test entry. 5. Confirm the lead information appears in Ressio. Testing helps confirm that: - The form is loading correctly - The correct fields are visible - Required fields are visible - Submitted information is being sent to Ressio ⚠️If you're using Wix and your test submission doesn't go through, double-check that `filesusr.com` has been added alongside your main domain in Step 2 — this is the most common cause of Wix form issues.  [\[back-to-top\]](https://help.ressiosoftware.com/lead-capture#back-to-top) --- #### **What Happens After a Lead Form is Submitted** When someone submits the lead capture form, Ressio creates a new prospect project.   You can find the submitted lead in:   **Company Overview -\> All Projects -\> Prospects**   The Project name is created using the following format:   `First Name Last Name - prospect`   For example:   `Jane Smith - prospect`   Information entered on the form, such as email, phone number, and project description, will automatically populate into the project details.   ![Screenshot 2026-07-16 at 3.23.38 PM](https://43531900.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hub/43531900/hubfs/Screenshot%202026-07-16%20at%203.23.38%20PM.png?width=670&height=294&name=Screenshot%202026-07-16%20at%203.23.38%20PM.png) [\[back-to-top\]](https://help.ressiosoftware.com/lead-capture#back-to-top) --- #### Email Notifications for New Leads Ressio can send email notifications when a new lead is submitted.   To manage your lead notification settings: 1. Open your profile menu that can be found in the bottom left hand corner of any page on desktop by clicking the 3 little dots. On mobile, click "**More**" on the panel found on the bottom of your screen then hit the 3 little dots.  2. Select **Email Notifications.** 3. Find **Leads**. 4.
