Notifications and Reminders FAQ
This FAQ covers the most common questions builders and contracts ask about setting up, managing and troubleshooting notifications in Ressio.

Why am I not getting email notifications even though they are toggled on?
Check your spam or junk folder first. If Ressio emails are landing there, add support@ressiosoftware.com to your contacts. If you still are not receiving emails, confirm your email address is correct in Account Settings and reach out to our support team.
When searching for email notifications, search for: notification@ressio.app.
Why can't I turn off email notifications?
Ressio requires at least one notification channel to be active at all times. If SMS is not set up on your account, you will not be able to turn email off. Set up and verify an SMS number first, then you can turn email off if you prefer.
How do I stop getting text messages from Ressio?
Go to your notification preferences and toggle SMS off for each notification type. You can also text STOP to the number you received the message from. Your email notifications will remain active.
Can I get notified when a client approves a selection or signs a proposal?
Yes. Enable the Approvals notifications in your notification preferences. You will receive an email or SMS when a client takes action on any document you have released to them.
How do I get notified about messages from my clients or team?
Enable message notifications in your notification preferences. You will receive a notification any time someone sends a message on a project you are part of, including general inbox messages from clients.
Can I set up notifications for a team member who is not receiving them?
You cannot change another user's notification settings directly. Ask the team member to log in and update their own preferences under Account Settings. If they are unsure how to do this, share this article with them.
What happens if a client never received their portal invitation?
Ask the client to check their spam folder. If the email is not there, go to the Customers section in Project Settings, confirm their email address is correct, and resend the invitation from there.
