Previewing the Client Portal

You can preview the client portal by using the “eye” button in the top left corner of any page within the Ressio platform. The preview function is a great tool to better understand the experience your client will see in Ressio.

1. Previewing the client portal

On all pages, in the top left-hand corner of your screen, you will see an "eye" icon. To preview the client portal, click the "eye" icon. A new browser window will appear with the client view loaded.

What do clients see?

The client portal (pictured below) provides access for the client to view and interact with the following:

  • Specifications - Serves as an easy reference for any details relating to any cost items used in the project
  • Approvals - A list of all pending, approved, and rejected approval documents (including proposals, change orders, & selection)
  • Daily Logs - Any notes or photos shared publicly  to the daily log can be seen by the client. For more information about Private vs Public daily log posts, check out our Creating & Editing Daily Logs Posts knowledge base document.
  • Schedule / Calendar - Allow your client to see schedule phases, assigned schedule tasks, target completion dates, and completion percentage.
  • Budget - View the original & last approved prices of the project.

Controlling client visibility to certain pages?

In the case you want to limit client access to certain pages, the Ressio platform has capability to do so! Navigate to the "Project settings" page in the side menu bar and select "Visibility".

Once in the visibility tab, you have the ability to control client visibility to a number of pages. Depending on your desired client experience, the following states of the toggle switches should be set:

  • SCHEDULE: I want my client to see all schedule phases and their assigned schedule task

  • SCHEDULE: I want my client to ONLY see their assigned schedule tasks

  • SCHEDULE: I don't want my client to have any schedule access

TIP: After configuring your visibility toggles, open the client preview to see the client experience for yourself!
