Project Templates
Create a new project from an existing template with one click
Overview
Project Templates are designed to make creating new projects even easier.
Create a new project from an existing template in a single click: estimates, schedules, to-do lists, and bid requests included.
Why this matters:
- Save time: Launch a fully scaffolded project in one click instead of setting up each piece manually.
- Stay consistent: Every project starts from the same proven framework, so nothing gets missed from one job to the next.
- Keep work moving: Your estimate, schedule, tasks, and bid requests come over ready to review—no re-linking or rebuilding.

What comes over from a template
When you create a project from a template, Ressio copies the key building blocks from your template project into the new one, including:
- Estimates — your estimate structure, ready to adjust
- Schedules — a baseline schedule with phases and tasks
- To-do lists — starter tasks so the team knows where to begin
- Bid requests (Approvals) — pre-built requests, including their assigned vendors
Everything comes over already linked together, so you don't have to reconnect schedule items, tasks, and selections by hand.
How to create a project from a template
- Start creating a new project.
- Choose Create from Template.
- Select the template project you want to build from.
- Click Create.
- Ressio builds your new project and pulls in the template's estimates, schedules, to-do lists, and bid requests.

Once it finishes, open the project to review everything that came over.
Reviewing and customizing your new project
A template gives you a starting point, not a locked-in plan. After your project is created, open each area to review and adjust:
- Update the estimate for this job's scope and pricing.
- Adjust schedule dates, phases, and durations.
- Edit or reassign to-do items.
- Review bid requests and assigned vendors, then release them when you're ready.

Everything is fully editable, so you can tailor the project to the specific job before anything goes out.
Tips for Success
Build your template project intentionally. Include the estimate structure, schedule, tasks, and bid requests you use most often so every new project starts complete.
Do a quick review of each area after creating a project. Updating scope, dates, and pricing keeps the template's speed without carrying over details that don't fit the new job.
Hold off on releasing bid requests until you've confirmed the right vendors and scope for the specific project.
