Ressio + QuickBooks Online Project Settings

When integrating a project in Ressio with QuickBooks Online, the settings on the "Financial" tab of the "Project Details" screen help define how invoice and bill data is mapped. Here’s what each field and toggle means:

“Enable QuickBooks Time Tracking”

When enabled, this allows time tracked in Ressio (via Time Clock) to sync with QuickBooks Time (if connected), making payroll and job costing easier.

“Enable Sending Invoices to QuickBooks”

Turns on the ability for Ressio invoices to be pushed into QBO as customer invoices.

“Default Invoice Code (Required)”

This field is used to assign a default Product/Service code in QuickBooks for any invoice line items that don’t have a specific cost code assigned in Ressio. It ensures QuickBooks can categorize and accept the invoice.

“Profit Code (Required)”

This sets the Product/Service code to use specifically for line items marked as profit in Ressio. When you break out profit in an invoice, QBO needs to know how to account for it separately.

“Enable Sending Bills to QuickBooks”

Allows bills from Ressio to be pushed into QBO as Bills, so you can pay them from within QuickBooks.

“Default Billing Cost Code (Required)”

This is the default Product/Service code for bill line items that don’t have a specific code. It ensures vendor expenses are at least categorized in QBO.
