SMS Notifications - Overview

Ressio allows you to receive important notifications through two channels: Email and SMS. You can choose to receive notifications through one or both channels based on your preferences. If you choose to use SMS notifications, to ensure security and compliance, users must explicitly opt in and verify their phone number before receiving text messages

Setting Up SMS Notifications

To receive SMS notifications, you need to complete a simple verification process:

  1. Add Phone Number: Click "Add phone number" in your notification preferences
  2. Verify Ownership: Enter the verification code sent to your phone via SMS
  3. Enable SMS: Once verified, you can toggle SMS notifications on/off

Note: You must have at least one notification channel enabled at all times to receive important updates.

 


Managing Your SMS Preferences

You have multiple ways to control your SMS notifications:

  1. In Ressio (Recommended)
  2. Via SMS Commands (Carrier-Managed)

In Ressio (Recommended)

  • Go to your notification preferences in the app
  • Toggle SMS notifications on/off
  • Change or remove your phone number
  • Switch between email and SMS preferences

Via SMS Commands (Carrier-Managed)

You can also opt in and out directly by texting the number you received notifications from:

  • To Opt Out: Text STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, OPT OUT
  • To Opt Back In: Text START or UNSTOP

Opting out will disables SMS notifications but keeps email notifications enabled.

Opting back in will re-enables SMS notifications for your account

Important: SMS opt-in/opt-out commands are managed by your mobile carrier as required by telecommunications regulations. When you opt out via SMS, you will continue to receive email notifications to ensure you stay informed about important updates.
