# Why can't I progress invoice my line items from my estimate?

## The most common reason is that your project isn’t fully set up for fixed price invoicing yet. To enable progress invoicing:

**Verify the project’s financial structure is set to “Fixed Price.”**

- Go to your project’s settings.
- Click **Financials** tab and set to **Fixed Price**.

**Make sure the estimate is locked.**

- Progress invoicing pulls from the locked original estimate to populate line items.
